what do i want for christmas this year? honestly, i feel like i have everything i need. i know it's corny, but all i want is to be with the people i love and to be happy. that's what i want; i want to be happy and to feel complete again. every year we spend more and more on presents. what is it all for? i mean, they are just 'things' after all. we shouldn't treat them more than they're worth. it's nice to have pretty things, but at the end of the day, it's all just empty and meaningless. the only material thing that really means a lot to me is my camera. everything else i could definitely live without any day. i hope you all are not too busy with the holiday season to stop to enjoy the beautiful refreshing winter air and to remember what's important.

the beginning of finals week was marked with the smoke alarm going off at 1am. everyone had to evacuate the dorm building and wait in the cold. some idiot threw a lit match or cigarette or something down the trash chute. so i didn't get to bed until 4:30am. and i've been half procrastinating half trying to study all day now. i'm so bored out of my mind from studying right now. i cannot wait to go home next week!
